1. Purpose
This AI Usage Disclosure explains, in plain language, how SpeakUp uses artificial intelligence and automated systems, what those systems do and do not do, and the choices and rights you have. It brings together, in one place, the AI-related parts of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The Platform is operated by Shelp FZ-LLC (“SpeakUp”, “we”, “us”), Dubai Internet City, UAE. 2. Where We Use AI
We use AI and automated systems to help our community connect more efficiently. In particular, we use AI to:
- Match and recommend: suggest relevant speakers to organizers, and relevant opportunities to speakers, and rank shortlists and search results.
- Support discovery: surface opportunities and profiles based on topics, expertise, languages, audience, event format, profile data and activity on the Platform.
- Assist with content: help generate or improve text such as profiles, messages or listings, where you choose to use those features.
- Support onboarding and operations: guide setup and help keep the Platform relevant and safe.

3. What Our AI Does Not Do
AI matches, rankings and recommendations are suggestions to help you decide. They are not advice, endorsements, guarantees or decisions made on your behalf. They do not guarantee that you will be matched, contacted, shortlisted or booked, or that any engagement will follow. You always remain in control of who you contact, engage or book.

4. Paid Visibility and Ranking
Some paid plans and paid features increase a user’s ranking, priority or visibility in matching, search, recommendations and shortlists. For example, higher speaker plans receive higher matching priority and visibility boosts, and organizers can purchase event promotion. Where ranking or visibility is influenced by a paid plan or paid placement, we identify it as such. Paid visibility affects how prominently a profile or opportunity appears; it does not guarantee any result and does not replace your own judgment.

5. Human Oversight and Your Rights
Our AI features are designed to assist people, not to replace human decision-making about real outcomes such as who is booked. We do not use automated processing to make decisions that produce legal effects on you, or similarly significant effects, without a lawful basis and appropriate safeguards.
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, Brazil’s LGPD, India’s DPDP framework, or similar law applies and an automated process would have a legal or similarly significant effect on you, you have the right to obtain meaningful information about the logic involved, to request human review, to express your point of view, and to contest the outcome. 6. Accuracy, Limitations and Bias
AI systems can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and may reflect limitations in the data they use. We work to improve quality and to reduce unfair bias, but we cannot guarantee that every match, ranking or AI-generated text is accurate, complete or suitable. You should review AI outputs before relying on them, and you are responsible for any content you publish or send, including content created with the help of AI features.

7. How AI Uses Your Data
Our AI features use personal data described in our Privacy Policy, such as profile information, topics, languages and activity on the Platform, to provide matching, recommendations and related features. We use data in line with the legal bases set out in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell personal data. If we ever use personal data to train models in a way not described in the Privacy Policy, we will update our notices and obtain consent where the law requires.

8. Responsible Use by You
If you use AI features to create content, you must review it for accuracy, keep it truthful, and comply with our User Content Rules and Community Guidelines. Do not use AI features to impersonate a real person, to create misleading or deceptive content, or to break any law.

9. Changes
We may update this Disclosure as our AI features evolve. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and notify you of significant changes where appropriate.
