SpeakUp Speaker and Organizer Rules. Conduct, accuracy and booking rules for speakers, organizers, podcasters and media on the SpeakUp platform.
Last updated: May 21, 2026
01
1. Purpose of These Rules
These Speaker and Organizer Rules (the “Rules”) explain what we expect from speakers, experts, organizers, podcasters, journalists, media and brands when they use SpeakUp to discover each other, communicate, apply to opportunities, and arrange bookings. They form part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines. The Platform is operated by Shelp FZ-LLC (“SpeakUp”, “we”, “us”), Dubai Internet City, UAE. Contact: legal@speak-up.pro.

2. SpeakUp Is an Intermediary, Not a Party to Bookings
SpeakUp connects speakers and organizers, but is not a party to any booking between them. We are not a speaker bureau, talent agency, employer, recruiter or event organizer. We do not negotiate, set, deliver, supervise or guarantee any engagement, and we take no commission. Any agreement to speak, appear, present or take part is concluded directly between the speaker and the organizer, on the terms they agree.
03
3. Honest and Accurate Information
All users must give truthful, accurate and current information in their profiles, listings, applications and messages. Speakers must not misrepresent their identity, experience, qualifications, affiliations or availability. Organizers must not misrepresent themselves, their event, or the terms of any opportunity. Impersonation, fake profiles and false claims are not allowed and may lead to suspension or termination.
04
4. Rules for Speakers
Speakers commit to the following:
- Keep your profile, topics, formats, rates and availability accurate and up to date.
- Hold any licences, permissions or rights needed to provide your services, and only offer services you can deliver.
- Apply to opportunities in good faith and only where you genuinely intend to take part.
- Honour engagements you accept, communicate promptly, and tell the organizer as early as possible if you cannot proceed.
- Do not use other users’ contact details or content for spam, unsolicited marketing or any unrelated purpose.
05
5. Rules for Organizers and Business Users
Organizers and business users commit to the following:
- Describe your event, audience and opportunity accurately, including format, dates and location.
- State clearly whether an opportunity is paid, unpaid or reward-based, and set out fees, travel, expenses and other key terms before booking.
- Treat applicants fairly and respectfully, and do not publish discriminatory, misleading or unlawful opportunities.
- Honour the terms you offer, including agreed fees and arrangements, and communicate decisions in good time.
- Only use applicant data for assessing and managing the opportunity, in line with applicable data-protection law and our Privacy Policy.
06
6. Paid, Unpaid and Reward-Based Opportunities
Organizers may publish opportunities that are paid, unpaid or reward-based, and this must be shown transparently so speakers can decide whether to apply. Where an opportunity is paid, the organizer and speaker agree the fee and payment terms directly. SpeakUp does not process payments between users for bookings and is not responsible for whether a user pays, or pays on time.
07
7. Bookings Are Direct Agreements Between Users
When a speaker and an organizer agree to work together, they enter a direct agreement. We strongly recommend recording the agreed terms in writing, including scope, fee, dates, travel, cancellation terms, invoicing and taxes. Each user is responsible for performing its side of the agreement and for its own taxes and legal obligations.
SpeakUp does not guarantee any booking and is not responsible for cancellations, no-shows, non-payment, the quality, safety or legality of any engagement, or any dispute between users. Any dispute about a booking is between the users involved.
08
8. Communication and Conduct
Keep communication on the Platform professional, respectful and relevant. Harassment, abuse, hate speech, threats, discrimination and spam are not allowed. Do not attempt to move users off the Platform in order to evade these Rules, and do not pressure other users or misuse the messaging features. Our Community Guidelines set out conduct rules in more detail.
09
9. Reviews, Ratings and Feedback
After a collaboration, speakers and organizers may leave feedback about each other. Feedback must be honest, based on genuine experience, and free of abusive, defamatory or misleading content. Do not post fake, incentivised or retaliatory reviews, and do not manipulate ratings. We may remove feedback that breaches these Rules and may act on patterns of abuse.
10
10. Verification and Badges
We may offer verification badges or similar signals for some profiles. Any such badge reflects a limited check only and is not a guarantee of a user’s identity, quality, qualifications or reliability. Users should still exercise their own judgment before contacting, engaging or booking another user.
11
11. AI Matching and Visibility
AI matching, recommendations and rankings are suggestions to help discovery and do not guarantee any outcome. Some paid plans increase a user’s ranking, priority or visibility in matching, search and shortlists, as described in our Terms of Service. Paid visibility is identified as such and does not guarantee any booking.
12
12. Enforcement
If you breach these Rules, we may take action under our Terms of Service, including warning you, removing content, limiting features, or suspending or terminating your account, with notice and an opportunity to appeal except where immediate action is needed to prevent harm, fraud or illegality. Serious or repeated breaches may be reported to authorities where required by law.
